Load indicating washer is also known as DTI washer. Direct tension indicator washer or simply DTI washer is used to measure the bolt or nut load directly with the help of filler gauge. DTI washer is placed below the nut or bolt and fastens up to the load required. The gap between the DTI washer is then measured with filler gauge. NO GO filler gauge indicates that minimum tension is achieved and GO filler gauge indicates that maximum tension is not exceeded.
